L'Alta Via of the Monti Liguri (a trekking route along the Ligurian mountains)
The Ligurian mountain degrading and sloping down to the coast is a unique experience: an invitation for the tourists who want to discover picturesque trekking routes on foot, on a horse or mountain bike.
The route consists of 43 stops among the olive trees and vineyards of the Ligurian hinterland, along paths bordering the coast, like the one in the Cinque Terre, especially appreciated by overseas tourists, and up to the highest mountains of the Alta Via.
There are a lot of opportunities to go trekking in this unique natural scenery, in the wild greenness of the Apennines sloping down to the sea. Here you can find a short list of routes and suggestions:
- The paths in Val di Vara
- The hinterland of Genova, with Praglia and Scoffera
- The hinterland of Savona with Beigua and Melogno
